About the Estate

Simbi Coffee is a cooperative group based in the Huye district of the southern province of Rwanda. The construction of its washing station began in 2011 and it was inaugurated in 2013, placing 9th in the Rwanda Cup of Excellence in this same year, its first in operation. Since then they have sought to maintain strict selection and processing standards to continue producing high quality coffees each season. Simbi is made up of 1,850 members, 80% of whom are women. This natural micro lot was obtained from 300 small farmers in the Rugarama area. These farmers grow bourbon varieties at altitudes ranging between 1,710 and 1,850 meters above sea level.
