About the Farm
Hacienda El Rodeo is located in Curití, Santander Department, Colombia. The project began in 2011 by Alfonso Reyes and his son, Cristian Reyes. Since it was an abandoned farm, the project started from scratch. Since then, they have been growing Arabica coffee every year. They have currently planted 110 hectares and still have another 35 hectares to grow over the next three years. The total area of the farm is 170 hectares, but they decided to keep 25 hectares for nature and wildlife conservation. The farm is located at an altitude between 1,900 and 2,200 meters above sea level and grows coffee under shade, primarily using native trees and banana trees for transitional shade.
