About the Estate
Ana Pérez Rafael is a first generation coffee producer based in Concepción Huista in
Huehuetenango Region. The name of Ana's farm, Nub'il Ha', comes from the local indigenous Popti language. Nub'il Ha' means union of two natural water currents that run through the mountains of Concepción Huista. The stream runs near the farm and delivers fresh water to the farm. “Our farm was established in 2007 and then my husband immigrated to the United States due to
the financial situation I was in charge of the coffee cultivation and years later I joined the cooperative to
strengthen my training and knowledge to produce quality coffee,” explains Ana.
