About this coffee
Finca Lord Voldemort belongs to Deiro García, a specialty coffee producer in Pitalito, Huila (Colombia). Deiro comes from a second-generation coffee family, and the estate was acquired by his father, Fabio “Leo” García. The name “Lord Voldemort” came about by chance: the previous owner was a fan of the Harry Potter saga and called the estate that. Deiro decided to keep the name, preserving a tradition that is not common in the area. Deiro, who studied microbiology, has transformed the estate into a laboratory for coffee innovation. He specializes in controlled fermentations, using cultures of yeast and bacteria isolated from fruits and vegetables, which allows him to precisely modulate the sensory profiles of his coffees.
