About this coffee
This microbatch is produced by Daye Bensa, founded by brothers Asefa and Mulugeta Dukamo. It features a 4-day anaerobic fermentation, followed by natural drying on African beds.
Sidamo coffee is one of the most renowned coffee regions in the world. Sidamo is an area in southern Ethiopia where the Sidama people live. Local producers grow coffee to the highest standards, and cherry picking is always carefully supervised. The cherries are hand-selected with extreme care.
For this reason, Sidamo produces practically no G3 coffees: after G1 and G2, it is classified directly as G4, guaranteeing a clearly differentiated excellence in each batch. The locals are known as the Sidama people.
Organization / farm (sustainable practices):
Smallholder farms. Bensa is located in a midforest area, which allows for the application of natural shade.
