About this coffee
This naturally processed SL28 single-varietal batch comes from the Kamundu Estate in Kiambu, Kenya. Kamundu is a 155-hectare coffee estate, originally founded by British settlers, but is now one of six estates owned and operated by Sasini, a publicly traded company with a majority Kenyan stake. Sasini Estates has long prioritized equity and community. For farm workers, this means providing housing, early childhood education, union membership, and a guaranteed wage above the minimum wage. In partnership with Covoya and our clients, they have also been able to invest more in the local Njenga Karume Primary School. This has been achieved primarily through the construction of a new computer lab to equip students with the computer skills needed to maximize opportunities in an increasingly digital world.
