About this coffee
From the rural community of San Josep Ixtepec, Chiapas, at 1,600 meters above sea level, this natural Bourbon coffee, cultivated by Neri Ortiz Pérez, stands out for its floral aroma with notes of strawberry and chocolate, a taste of red fruits and berries, medium vinous acidity and a round body. Beyond its sensory profile, this project represents a sustainable coffee model with social impact, in which Neri, a small producer and roaster, works with his family and provides technical advice to other coffee farmers to improve their processes. In a region where many have abandoned the countryside, this coffee seeks to stop rural displacement, generate decent employment and strengthen roots through knowledge and quality.
