About the region
Mount Elgon is the oldest volcano in Africa , located on the border between Uganda and Kenya. The Sipi Falls area and the village of Tangwen enjoy nutrient-rich volcanic soil , abundant rainfall, and intense sunlight which, combined with the high altitude , create an exceptional terroir for specialty coffee .
This environment produces beans with a natural sweetness and a lively acidity, which are reflected in cups with notes of red fruit, citrus and chocolate , as in this unique microlot.
